History

  • 1974
    - N. E. Truck Spares Ltd (nets) founded by Peter and Ann Reed and the Company began trading on the 1st January 1975 operating out of one stock van.
  • 1976
    - The business grew quickly and premises were bought in Richard Street Hetton-le-Hole County Durham not far from major routes such as the A19 and the A1.
  • 1977
    - A branch was opened in Stockton-on-Tees to satisfy demand in the Teesside area and improve service.
    - At that time Stockton Branch acted as Central Stores to the company for some years
  • 1987
    - Carlisle Branch opened to service Cumbria and the Borders.
  • 1990
    - NETS become one of the first Companies to qualify for the BSI Stockist Scheme registration and certification
  • 2000
    - Head office and central stores relocated to a purpose built facility at Hetton Lyons Industrial Estate
    - Peter Reed formed the Company Braketech Ltd and NETS became founder members
  • 2004
    - Head Office building is more than doubled in size to incorporate bulk storage and deal with expansion required in workshop facilities,
    - nets move into Management of customers stores sourcing all parts, consumables required plus any bespoke sourcing depending on customer requirements.
  • 2006
    - Business was expanded into Yorkshire, Humberside and Lincolnshire by acquiring locations of an existing business.
    - This business has now been remoulded into existing locations at Barnsley and Immingham.
  • 2007
    - Large Braketech stores management contract secured nationally adding another 4 managed store
  • 2009
    - To further improve service to branches and customers central Purchasing/Warehouse and Sales/Marketing departments are developed.
  • 2011
    - New look website launched providing customers with a comprehensive product catalogue and central point of contact.
    - Further branches will be opened and rolled out as required.
